Last month’s walk: Beinn a’ Chaorainn and Beinn Teallach

This was one of these days when more time was spent in the car than out on the hill. We all enjoyed it none the less and we were very lucky with the weather. Both summits were clear when we happened to get up to them and we managed to get some excellent views. The only rain that we had was some light drizzle when we were stopped for lunch.

Sunday 18^th October

After a brief consultation with last month’s walkers we decided that we would manage one more Munro bagging trip before the clocks change later on this month so the target is Beinn Chabhair from Glen Falloch. OS map no 50/56. At the time of writing there are possibly 4 going. Alan, Di, David and Harry so lets have a few more this month. Names please by Thursday 15^th to enable cars to be arranged etc.

Next month

Graham has once again arranged the annual lakes trip for 7/8 November. This year it’s to be at Borrowdale YH and there are 8 booked. 2 Methvens, 2 Rowleys, Graham, Rob, Inness and Alan Marsh

The website is now up and running www.bemac.org   Anybody who wants walk photos posted please either e mail them to me or send prints and I will scan them. Perhaps different people might like to write the walk report from time to time to get a different perspective on things.
