BEMAC Birdcake. This old BEMAC recipe has been unearthed once again. Try it to provide an energy boost on the hill:
Melt these together in a pan:
500g margarine or butter
8oz Brown sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 tablespoons treacle
Stir these well into the mixture:
1 1/2 lbs porridge oats
1/4lb cornflakes
rasins
nuts (chopped or whole)
sunflower seeds (optional)
Bake in a baking tray for 20-25minutes at gas mark 4 or 350F
Try different amounts of nuts and rasins until you get the desired taste.
